This film is a hard-coated polarizer that offers excellent glare reduction and greater durability than polarizing films. They are laminated to a single piece of cell-cast acrylic and intended for applications where the external surface must be exposed to potentially harsh conditions, while the internal surface is naturally protected. Appropriate examples include lighting applications, rotating polarizers threaded onto the front of lenses, and polarizers that are mounted in camera enclosures.
Cell cast acrylic is isotropic, harder, more chemically resistant, and more pliable compared to extruded acrylic. PA385 sheet material is routinely laser cut to any desired custom shape, size, and mounting configuration. These polarizers utilize our HT008 polarizing film and are offered in 1.7mm and 2.2mm thicknesses.
