Camera Link is built for real-time, high bandwidth (maximum 850 MB/s) parallel communication. It is a well-established industry standard with hundreds of products on the market today. Camera Link compliant products are interoperable, providing users with flexibility to choose the best product for their needs without piece of mind that there will be compatibility across the different manufacturers. Camera Link has GenICam support for plug-and-play interoperability. For new application, it is recommended to look at the newer stanadard, Camera Link HS.
Camera Link is currently in version 2.1. The Camera Link standard is hosted by A3 Vision and Imaging.
