Machine Vision Direct is a small team of talented engineers, developers, and customer service agents. Based in Streamwood, Illinois in the United States of America, MVD is quickly growing into the one of the largest distribution and consultation players in the machine vision market. Our employees span across the United States with Employees in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Texas. In addition to being outstanding engineers with various industry backgrounds, our employees have mostly stemmed from Alumni and Mentors of the FIRST Robotics Competition

Machine Vision Direct was founded in 2019 in Schaumburg, IL (USA) with the idea of making Machine Vision Hardware more accessible to purchase for everyone. Traditionally, machine vision hardware was sold through small distribution companies which were not focused on the peripherals that make machine vision systems work at their best. With a focus on making sure our customers get the best image, Machine Vision Direct was born.
Founded upon experience
With more than 100 vision system applications evaluated and succesfully implemented by time that Machine Vision Direct was founded, our founder was able to apply his industry experience to create a concept that would fit the needs of Machine Vision Engineers around the world. Our first Partnerships with Smart Vision Lights and Midwest Optical Systems (MidOpt) opened the doors to more than just the product lines, it opened the ability to use their 20+ years of experience and industry knowledge to help educate our customers as we offered their products to a global customer base.
