SVL Backlights Overview
Backlights (also referred to as Back Lights or Light Panels) are commonly used in various machine vision inspection applications where a silhouette is required to measure or inspect the location of an edge properly.
Backlighting creates silhouettes that only let you see the outer edges of most non-transparent parts. Backlights can also be used to find defects, such as holes in an opaque material, and sometimes can also be used to see fill levels.
MBL Miniature Backlight
The MBL Series of backlights is a mini back light with an ultra-slim design. Edge-enhancing technology is built-in to provide maximum contrast to backlit objects, providing the ability to get sharp images of round and highly reflective objects. The integrated constant current Multi-Drive™ LED driver simplifies installation and use while delivering either constant or strobe operation. And with a surface illuminance of up to 190,000 lux in continuous mode and 2,180,000 lux in OverDrive™, these are seriously bright backlights.

MOBL Maximum Output Backlight
The Maximum Operating Backlight (MOBL) Series of backlights have the highest light output of any backlight series in the Smart Vision Lights line up. The MOBL Series offers a built in driver with PNP or NPN strobe options for overdrive applications. Larger 45mm extrusion allows for greater heat dissipation due to the additional intensity The MOBL series of LED Backlights provide high output diffuse light. Lights are specifically engineered for high speed packaging and bottling lines.

ODMOBL Overdrive Maximum Output Backlight
The ODMOBL Backlight Series is designed for OverDrive strobing and produces maximum light output. NPN or PNP trigger signals can be used to control the pulse of the light. The intensity of the light can be controlled via 1-10VDC analog signal line. Proper heat dissipation is achieved using the side extrusion installed on the bottom of the light. The 45 mm extrusion makes mounting the light easy when using drop-in T-nuts.

SOBL Standard Output Backlight
SOBL Backlights are evenly lit for a more intense and highly diffuse lighting output. At just 30 mm in depth, the lights can be easily mounted in tight locations. The SOBL Series comes in various standard sizes.

LLPX Edge Lit Diffuse Large Backlight
LLPX Series backlights offer a homogeneous light pattern with the same familiar ease of mounting found on other Smart Vision Lights™ backlights. With the optically clear internal light dispersion grid and the matte-white-finished backing plate, more light is reflected up and out through the diffusion acrylic.

MOBL-RGBW RGBW Maximum Output Backlight and Driver
The MOBL (RGBW) Backlight Series is designed for maximum output and includes four wavelengths. Each wavelength is independent and can be tuned individually, allowing for the light to output just about any color imaginable. Proper heat dissipation is achieved using the side extrusion. The 45 mm extrusion makes mounting the light easy when using drop-in T-nuts. The MOBL (RGBW) Backlight Kit includes a MOBL RGBW backlight, external driver, and reverse-key jumper cable.
