Spectrum Illuminatiuon Backlights Overview
Backlights (also referred to as Back Lights or Light Panels) are commonly used in various machine vision inspection applications where a silhouette is required to measure or inspect the location of an edge properly.
Backlighting creates silhouettes that only let you see the outer edges of most non-transparent parts. Backlights can also be used to find defects, such as holes in an opaque material, and sometimes can also be used to see fill levels.
