With only 1 pixel-width of imaging and objects moving at high speeds, line scan cameras require intense directed light due to the incredibly short exposure times required. As the application of Line Scan Cameras only require a thin line of light, specialty Line Scan Lighting has been designed. It is important for all line scan camera applications that the light is as bright as possible and has an extremely high frequency in order to avoid flickering.
