Smart Vision Lights most compact ring lights are the RM75/RMX75 and RM140/RMX140 mini LED ring lights. These mini LED ring lights features our built-in Multi-Drive™ controller allowing users to operate the mini ring light continuously or in OverDrive™ Strobe mode. Our mini LED ring lights are extremely bright and available in multiple wavelengths to meet your application needs. All mini LED ring lights feature a standard 5-pin M12 connector makes wiring simple. The 1–10 V analog control line gives the user total control over intensity. The built-in Multi-Driver™ also protects the LEDs from premature degradation and failure caused by excessive heat by regulating the current delivered to the LEDs and limiting the duty cycle of the light.


The compact and powerful RMX140-RGBW Mini Ring Light is a small to mid-range working distance ring light. The RMX140-RGBW series features an aluminum housing and is IP50 rated. Each wavelength can be tuned individual of the other wavelengths, allowing for the light to output just about any color imaginable. The RMX140-RGBW (KIT) includes a RMX140 Ring Light and a 4WMD-100 external driver.


The 4WMD permits up to four independent channels to be tuned individually. The 4WWD has independent tuning controls and built-in MultiDrive™, allowing for the intensity range to be set from 10%–100% for continuous operations or OverDrive™ strobe mode. In addition, when in continuous operation mode, the intensity can be adjusted using the analog signal line. Disabling a channel will turn off the wavelength tied to that channel. Each output channel has its own tuning control located on the front of the driver

Using the Reverse-Key 5-pin M12 Connector
When connecting a Smart Vision Lights™ RGBW light to the 4WMD, a reverse-key 5-pin M12 cable is required. All Smart Vision Lights™ RGBW lights come equipped with a 5-pin reverse-key connector. With very little wiring needed, the reverse-key 5-pin M12 connector simplifies connecting lights to the 4WMD

NOTE: Smart Vision Lights™ uses reverse-key cables that have a blue-grey tip on the connectors. A 2 meter version of the cable is included when ordered (Part number: 5PM12-J2000-KR)

If one or more wavelengths are not needed, the channels associated with the wavelength can be disable. Disabling a channel will turn off the wavelength. To disable a channel, connect that channel to ground (GND). Example: To disable channel 4, connect NPN Disable IN 4 to GND. Input Connectors at top of 4WMD Driver from Smart Vision Lights



The 4WMD allows for the tuning of up to four individual wavelength intensities. Depending on its configuration, a channel can tune the output intensity of a given wavelength for either continuous operation or OverDrive™ strobe mode. Each channel can be tuned for continuous operation or OverDrive™ strobe mode. Continuous operation and OverDrive™ cannot be used simultaneously. Each channel has a yellow indicator light that illuminates when the channel is active

When connecting the RMX140-RGBW to the 4WMD, wavelength are set to be controlled as followed.

Wavelength Channels on 4WMD Driver for Smart Vision Lights

The RM140 and RMX140 lights may be mounted using the ADP0002-KIT mounting plate and optional thread adapters. To mount with this method, the ADP0002-KIT mounting bracket must be purchased. The ADP0002-KIT bolts to the rear of the light and has an M46 thread in its center. A Step Up or Step Down thread adapter must then be purchased to adapt your lens or camera to this M46 Thread. Please reference the datasheet for your light or camera in order to determine the appropriate thread adapter to purchase. MOUNTING USING T-NUTS
