RM140-4Z Mini Ring Lights 

Multi Zone Light Header

Multi-Zone Ring Lights are designed for compact 3D photometric stereo applications. Compact and powerful, the low-angle mini ring lights work best for dark-field ring applications and radial illumination lighting configurations.

Multi-Zone Ring Lights are sold in kits with the 4ZMD four-channel LED driver, which permits control of up to four separate lights or light zones, either independently or simultaneously, in any combination and at any intensity level. The 4ZMD strobes the lights independently for photometric and multi-light applications.

When connected to SVL's new programmable LED Light Manager (LLM), each channel of the Multi-Zone Ring lights can be set to continuous on, off, or any intensity level in between, as well as OverDrive strobe mode.

RM140-4Z Series

The compact and powerful RM140-4Z Mini Ring Light is a low-angle ring light that works best for dark field ring applications. The light can also be used for radial illumination. The RM140-4Z series features an aluminum housing and is IP65 rated. The RM140-4Z has four zones, making it a quadrant light in which each individual zone can be controlled independently of each other.

4ZMD - The 4ZMD is an external driver that permits control of up to four separate light zones either independently or simultaneously, in any combination. The 4ZMD has independent intensity controls and built-in Multi-Drive, allowing for a range to be set from 10%-100% for continuous operations or OverDrive strobe mode.

Understanding Zones

Smart Vision Lights offers lights with four individual built-in zones, allowing each zone to act independently of one another. Each zone can be set to continuous on, off, or any intensity level in between, and even OverDrive™ strobe mode. Intensity levels can be set by programming the LLM to control the zones or by using the intensity controls on the front of the 4ZMD (see Managing Zones and Adjusting Intensity).

These four-zone lights enable any combination of the zones to be turned on at the same time, including adjacent and opposing zones.

Adjusting Intensity

The 4ZMD allows for the control of up to four individual channel intensity levels. Depending on how the channel is wired, its intensity can be adjusted for either continuous operation or OverDrive strobe mode. Each channel intensity can be adjusted either in continuous operation or OverDrive strobe mode, but not both modes simultaneously. Each channel has a yellow indicator light that will illuminate when the channel is active.

MOUNTING USING ADP0002-KIT MOUNTING BRACKET
The RM140 and RMX140 lights may be mounted using the ADP0002-KIT mounting plate and optional thread adapters. To mount with this method, the ADP0002-KIT mounting bracket must be purchased. The ADP0002-KIT bolts to the rear of the light and has an M46 thread in its center. A Step Up or Step Down thread adapter must then be purchased to adapt your lens or camera to this M46 Thread. Please reference the datasheet for your light or camera in order to determine the appropriate thread adapter to purchase. MOUNTING USING T-NUTS
Mounting options include four (4) T-slots & four (4) M4 threaded holes.
